Over Protective Bill by DidxSomeonexSayxMad Over Protective Bill by DidxSomeonexSayxMad
Poor Teddy I bet those where not the words he wanted to come out of his mouth :( Victoire probably will give him a hard time after this.

I drew this because of the little arguments going around about people not believing some of what Rita Skeeter wrote and others that believe every word of it. So I was thinking about the things that everyone has excepted as fact, and I thought of the Teddy and Victoire being mischievous teenagers and lip-locking in dark corners. Maybe Rita made it up, maybe Teddy and Victoire are just trying to cover their tracks by fabricating their own story to the stereotypical overprotective dad; Who knows!

I imagine Bill read this in the morning paper and pulled both of them out of bed by their ears. Also Victoire is a total Ravenclaw with her rare fungus she collected instead of making out (Or maybe she can multitask and collect fungus and snog her boyfriend)

If I were a metamorphamagus boy I'd make myself super buff. I love it. It's very funny.

I love it!  What I find funny is that I imagine Bill being a bit of a ladies' man when he was young.  Now he has a daughter and everything is coming full circle! :giggle:

Why does Teddy, who has been an honorary member of the Potter-Weasley clan since he was less than a year old, call his god-uncle-in-law Mr Weasley instead of Bill? The whole crowd has been spending holidays together since Vicky was an embryo.

I guess you have a point.

I say he's doing it because of a combination of fear due to the current circumstances and it being his girlfriend's father here rather than his god-uncle-in-law. Heck; I've seen a story in the "Phineas and Ferb" fandom shipping step-cousins Marie Flynn and Thomas Fletcher where Thomas shows up to ask Phineas permission to marry Marie and he spends most of the story calling Phineas "Mr. Flynn" instead of "Uncle Phineas" due to the sensitive matter at hand. Bit off-topic and apologies for that but I hope it makes my point. Yours is still valid though, janach.

Yeah I think that's why I chose for him to say Mr. instead of Uncle (or anything along those lines). I'm not too familiar with "Phineas and Ferb"  but I think the same thing applies to Teddy here.

Knowledge of the characters isn't important for my point. My point is that regardless of how well you know your significant other's parents, you will use formal terminology to address them in certain circumstances. Plus Bill's probably a little scary post becoming a parent anyway.

Yes, I suppose you're right. Teddy realizes, if only subconsciously, how emotionally incestous his relationship with Vicky is, and he's trying to distance himself. But he shouldn't worry. Emotional incest is a way of life in the Potterverse. That's why he and Vicky are destined for each other. :D

I actually have no problem with relationships between honorary cousins. Heck; I'm officially okay with romance between step-cousins in the Phineas and Ferb fandom. I blame Thomas/Marie for being ridiculously adorable.
And yes; Teddy/Vicky is too perfect.

The problem is not so much cousinhood as the way the entire Weasley-Potter clan is so tightly bound together. They really need a broader social circle. If Teddy and Vicky break up, go out into the world for a decade or so and meet other people, then happen to re-discover each other, I say great. Considering what wizarding lifespan is like, there's no hurry. The notion from the Dreaded Epilogue that they need to marry right out of school so Teddy will be a "real" Weasley is creepy.

I'm thinking that's just James being an idiot; he's like 13 right?

It's one of the kids being an idiot. I vaguely recall that it's Lily, who is only ten, and more likely than James to swoon over a prospective marriage. But everything in the Dreaded Epilogue is there for a Reason, and I fear we're supposed to take it as a foreshadowing of things to come. Teddy is an echo of Harry ("begins with an orphan, ends with an orphan"), so he has to become a Weasley just like Harry has. Becoming a Weasley is the Potterverse's Happily-Ever-After.

Fortunately it's one of those matters like Snape's death that is never actually confirmed, and can be ignored or accepted as one pleases. I prefer to ignore it.
